Financial Education

If we can improve the financial literacy level of illiterates and deprived communities, they will stand a better chance of achieving financial independence.

Our Financial Literacy unit delivers critical financial education to groups, associations and the general community.

Across many villages and towns, the high level of illiteracy drives a lot of vulnerabilities in financial transactions. This often translates to slower pace in the financial independence agenda as many people in mostly deprive communities struggle to order their financial lives.

We engage sponsoring organisations to deliver critical financial education to targets that needs it most. Our delivery takes two main forms:

Mass Media

We design financial education programme in local languages to target mass individuals mainly through local radio stations and information centers. This is executed in the form of:

  1. Oral delivery of financial message (live and recorded mode); and
  2. Play acting in the form of drama (live and recorded mode)

Small Group Engagements

We organize small groups of individuals in communities such as church gatherings, associations, savings groups and clubs, and farming associations for the purposes of educating them on wide range of financial topics.

The inhouse unit has a team of committed financial educators and consultants tasked with basic and critical financial education and financial tips to targeted groups. Topics range from financial planning to expenditure discipline, investments opportunities and risks.
